2015 Father’s Day Breakfast

Delaware Fatherhood and Family Coalition - Monday, June 29, 2015


On June 20, 2014 the Delaware Fatherhood & Family Coalition's (DFFC) New Castle, Kent and Sussex County Leadership Committees held its 3nd AnnualFather's Day Breakfast. The event took place at International House of Pancakes (IHOP) throughout the State of Delaware.
The 3nd Annual Father's Day Breakfast was sponsored by Division of Prevention & Behavioral Health Services in collaboration with Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program administrated by First State Community Action Agency, Inc. Jewish Family Services of Delaware (JFS), Neighborhood House, and Connections, CSP; approximately 175 individuals participated in this event statewide.  
The 3nd Annual Father's Day Breakfast focused on the four (4) strategic priorities of the Delaware Fatherhood & Family Coalition which continues to;Promote Father Involvement as a Positive Influence; Provide Delaware Fatherhood & Family CoalitionEducation and Technique Assistance; Promote Fatherhood and Co-Parenting Services and Build a Self-Sustaining/Self Determining Coalition
The Delaware Fatherhood & Family Coalition seeks to increase awareness and membership by providing information and education session to assist individuals in understanding how imperative father involvement is as a immeasurable factor in the development of our children and  communities regarding issues of health, education, crime, peer and parental relationship and poverty.

The Botvin’s LifeSkills Training: Parent Program is designed to help parents strengthen communication with their children and prevent them from using drugs. This is a holistic and comprehensive approach to help parents teach their children the skills that help them resist the threats of tobacco, drugs, and violence. These tools help parents prepare their children for a successful transition from adolescence to early adulthood.
