Training

Purpose: To stimulate a broad based advocacy movement to combat father absence and promote fatherhood through the dissemination of shared knowledge and information.

The objective of DFFC training is to provide educational opportunities for parents,business, professionals, laypersons and Clergy to increase their expertise level on the subject matter of fatherhood and healthy adult relationships.

Ambassador Training

Ambassadors are those individuals and organizations that agree with the purpose, goals and mission of the DFFC and who are committed to help carry out the DFFC mission by working hard to engage new and active existing members to:

• Educate and promote dialogue within the community about fatherhood and co-parenting
• Share information about the purpose of the Delaware Fatherhood & Family Coalition
• Increase awareness of the positive impact on child development through the involvement of positive fatherhood and effective co-parenting.

A DFFC Ambassador is someone that has received extensive training through the DFFC Training Institute. They are equipped through training with key information, tools and resources to assist in giving fathers a voice, dispel fatherhood myths and perceived societal norms in a way that keeps the focus on what is in the best interest of the child.

Every DFFC Member is expected to be a DFFC Ambassador. DFFC Ambassadors in practice are those who have volunteered to receive specific training and are committed to being active and accountable.
